Support for Displayed Groups in mod_shared_roster_ldap

    Details

      Description

I don't think the module currently supports this feature. These are the attributes which are associated with a SRG generally:

ID: This is the main distinguisher for each SRG and is the only required mandatory attribute to create a new SRG.
Name: This is what gets displayed as the name of the group in XMPP clients
Description: Not sure where this is used
      Members: Members of this SRG
Displayed Groups: The SRGs which should be displayed to the members of this SRG I have noticed that the current shared roster ldap module does not have any support for "Displayed Groups".

From the documentation, it seems that every SRG is displayed to every user. But this might not be how every organization wants it. It would be nice if this support is added as well.

FYI, this is not the exact mechanism you asked for, but what you need might be achievable with the change https://git.process-one.net/ejabberd/mainline/commit/e616d2686f7be6f409d5869ff574f5bd2819b213.html (bug id EJAB-1555).
